Irugur Railway Station

 Irugur Junction Railway Station (Railway Station code: IGU), situated 13km away from Coimbatore Junction Railway Station, is one of the sub-urban railway stations of Coimbatore. 

Irugur Railway Station is well connected by bus transport. Buses like 42, 42A, 75 and 88. 93 and 93A buses are available at about 800 m from the Railway Station. 

The line from Podanur Junction, which skips the Coimbatore Junction and the line from Coimbatore North Railway Station both intersects at Irugur and thus called as Irugur Junction. The station contains two low lying platforms.

Irugur Junction serves the nearby towns and localities namely Irugur, Kamatchipuram, Kulathur, AG Pudhur, Chindhamani Pudhur and parts of Ondipudhur.

Jan Shatabdi Express, running between Coimbatore Junction (CBE) and Mayiladuthurai Junction (MV), is the only express and long distance train that stops in this station. This train runs daily except Tuesdays.

Train No.: 12083, CBE Jan Shatabdi, running from Mayiladuthurai Junction (MV), via Kumbakonam, Papanasam, Thanjavur, Trichy, Karur, Erode, Tiruppur to Coimbatore Junction (CBE) halts here at 20:29 and departs at 20:30, providing a stoppage for 1 minute. 

Train No.: 12084, MV Jan Shatabdi, running from Coimbatore Junction (CBE) to Mayiladuthurai via Tiruppur, Erode, Karur, Trichy, Thanjavur, Papanasam and Kumbakonam arrives Irugur Junction at 07:29 and stops here for 1 minute and departs at 7:30. 

Jan Shatabdi Express thus connects Delta districts of Tamilnadu with Irugur and Coimbatore.

66601 Erode - Coimbatore Passenger MEMU (Daily): This train leaves Erode at 07:15, arrives Irugur at 08:55 and reaches Coimbatore at 09:55.

66603 Salem - Coimbatore MEMU (Except Sunday): This train leaves 13:40, arrives Irugur at 16:45 and reaches Coimbatore at 17:50.
